Welcome to Moulsecoomb Primary School!

Headteacher Welcome

Moulsecoomb Primary School is an Academy within the City of Brighton and Hove, located on The Highway, Lewes Road, minutes walk from Moulsecoomb train station and excellent bus links. The school is non-selective and non-denominational. We became part of The Pioneer Academy on 1st November 2021. As part of the trust, the whole school is currently receiving significant investment. Before your child starts with us, this will include full redecorations of all classrooms, and a brand new, state-of-the-art Early Years outdoor learning area.  Our first class facilities include:

  • Two halls used for indoor Physical Education, lunches, school productions and events.

  • Three large playgrounds, including multi-use games pitch, with a trim trail and climbing tower

  • Incredible outdoor learning spaces including a Fairy-tale Forest, geology trail, orchards, ponds, fields, rain garden and chickens!

  • A unique collection of authentically built houses through time that bring history to life

  • A well-resourced computer room as well as each year group having their own set of laptops

  • Bike pump track

  • Beautiful woodland-themed, hand crafted library

Moulsecoomb Primary School is a caring school which is dedicated to providing all children with extraordinary school days. We offer a wide range of trips and in school experiences, at no cost to you the parent. Children access the curriculum through daily inspiring, relevant and inclusive experiences. We nurture all children with the support of our Family Worker, SENCO and Play Therapy counselling service. I have an excellent team of hard working teachers and teaching assistants who challenge our children in all lessons to be their very best.
